Centerville, IA – The Indian Hills Baseball team swept the weekly Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) weekly honors, taking home both the ICCAC DI Baseball Pitcher and Offensive Player of the Week awards, announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Sophomore Owen Corbett (Oswego, IL/Oswego) was named the ICCAC Pitcher of the Week while fellow sophomore Tijmen Nagel (Amsterdam, Netherlands/Roc Amsterdam) was named the ICCAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Warriors on the diamond last week.

Corbett posted three shutout appearances for the Warriors, securing the win in the series finale against Iowa Central Community College on Saturday afternoon, the right-handed hurler's first collegiate victory. In two scoreless innings vs. the Tritons, Corbett struck out a career-high four batters while issuing just one walk.

On the week, Corbett tallied eight strikeouts in 3.2 innings of relief work, allowing just one hit. The sophomore lowered his season earned run average to 1.93 on the year.

Tijmen continued a dominant stretch of play at the plate as the sophomore batted .471 on the week. Nagel tallied eight base hits, including a pair of doubles while scoring four runs.

In Wednesday's tilt at Kirkwood Community College, Nagel posted career-highs with four hits and three stolen bases for the Warriors.

Nagel has now hit safely in 10 of the last 12 contests, batting .408 with seven extra base hits and 11 RBI during the stretch.

The Warriors return to action April 2 at Marshalltown Community College for a single nine-inning conference matchup. First pitch from Shawn Williams Field is set for 2:00 PM.
