CHEER SET FOR UCA GAMEDAY NATIONALS IN ORLANDO

Orlando, FL – The Indian Hills Competitive Cheer squad is set to open up competition at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Game Day Nationals.

"After warmups today, I am confident in our Gameday routine," stated head coach Cyndi Mellin. "This is the first year we are performing with dancers so the floor took a little getting used to as it is half cheer mat and half Marley. We're focused on pointed toes and arm placement in the baskets, smooth full-ups and most definitely volume. The team has adjusted well to the nerves - we are ready to compete."

Action gets underway at 10:30 AM EST from the Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. All the action can be seen live via VARSITY TV

The Warriors, who previously competed at the UCA Regional Competition at the National Western Complex in Denver, CO back in October, will now perform their Gameday routine against teams from across the nation, including both four-year and two-year colleges.

"Watching the four-year schools compete makes me excited and proud that we are performing the same skills," stated Kendra Baxter. Niya Damazo expressed her enthusiasm to display the team's efforts throughout the fall season. "I'm so excited to showcase our routine on a national stage."
