Ottumwa -- Five members of the Indian Hills basketball squad earned a spot on the NJCAA Region 11 Academic All-Region team, announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

Jan Svandrlik and Ria'n Holland were named to the academic all-region first team, honoring those with grade point averages of between 3.5 and 4.0 for the spring term. Jorge Rosa, Kevin Zabo and Nuni Omot were all second-team selections, with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.

The five basketball players were among the 68 Indian Hills student-athletes who garnered spring academic all-region recognition.
