TIRADO NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman guard Eddiean Tirado (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Miami Triple Threat) of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Tirado led the Warriors to a pair of wins last week.

Tirado and the Warriors took home two wins at the second annual Iowa-Missouri Challenge in West Burlington, IA over the weekend. The eighth-ranked Warriors topped Missouri State University-West Plains 75-70 on Friday night and No. 20 Moberly Area 82-73 on Saturday.

Tirado's efforts propelled the Warriors to both victories as the freshman averaged 22.5 points per game. Tirado tallied 16 points on 5-11 shooting from three-point range against West Plains before lighting up Moberly Area with a 29-point performance on Saturday. Tirado connected on nine three-point shots, including his first four attempts from beyond the arc.

For the season, Tirado is averaging a team-high 14.3 points per game and is shooting 47.4 percent from three-point land.

The Warriors are back in action at home this week with a busy three-games in three-days lineup. Indian Hills hosts Casper College (WY) at 7:00 PM Thursday before hosting the Bowling RV Classic at the Hellyer Center. For more information on the Bowling RV Classic, visit: Bowling RV Classic Homepage
