KALAMBAY RECEIVES INVITE TO JA48

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team has been selected to attend the JUCO Advocate 48 Showcase. This year's event will be held July 7-8 in Las Vegas, NV.

The JA48 event is a premier junior college showcase that invites the top 48 freshman from two-year colleges across the country. The event, an NCAA certified showcase, serves as one of the top JUCO recruiting events for upcoming sophomores.

Kalambay has appeared in all 21 games for the Warriors this year, making 15 starts on the season. The freshman is currently averaging 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Kalambay has scored in double-figures in eight of the team's last 11 games and was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 6 – Dec. 12.

The JA48 event has featured a number of former Warriors over the years. Current Warriors Braxton Bayless (Ankeny, IA/Ankeny) and Taj Anderson (Queens, NY/Quality Education) participated in the event last summer while former Warriors to receive invitations in past years include Devontae Lane (2018), Lance Singh (2018), Tyon Grant-Foster (2019), JD Mulia (2019), Malique Jacobs (2019), Chris Payton (2020) and Tyrese Nickelson (2020). Head coach Hank Plona served as a coach at last year's event.
