Ottumwa, IA – After a week-long hiatus, No. 16 Indian Hills Men's Basketball returns to action at the Hellyer Center on Saturday as the Warriors welcome Kankakee Community College (IL) for a 7:00 PM tipoff. Saturday night's game is a part of Indian Hills Hall of Fame Night where this year's inductees will be recognized at halftime.

SETTING THE STAGE
Winners of two-straight, the Warriors enter Saturday night's matchup coming off its longest break of the new year. Indian Hills last played on Jan. 15, an 82-74 road victory over conference foe Marshalltown. The Warriors also defeated No. 23 Triton College in a thriller on Jan. 12, winning a nonconference road battle 77-74 to improve to 5-1 against teams from the state of Illinois this season.
Kankakee (13-6) makes the trip to Ottumwa having won three of its last four, but dropped its last contest to Triton 84-72 at home. The Cavaliers have met up with five similar opponents as the Warriors, going 1-4 in those games. Kankakee's lone win came against Highland Community College 71-63 on Jan. 15
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday night's matchup will be the ninth meeting all-time between the Warriors and Cavaliers with the last seven contests occurring since 2013-14. The first meeting between the two clubs was in 2006, a 96-60 victory for Indian Hills.
The last matchup came nearly two years to the date – Jan. 11, 2020 at the Hellyer Center. The Warriors walked away with an 83-55 victory as five Warriors scored in double-figures, led by Tyon Grant-Foster's 21.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
The Warriors have seen a surge from sophomore J'Vonne Hadley (St. Paul, MN/Northeastern) over the last three contests, scoring double-figures in each game. Hadley poured in 19 points against Triton before a career-night against Marshalltown with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Hadley was recognized as this week's ICCAC Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
The Cavaliers, who average 81.6 points per contest, have four players averaging double-figures on the year, led by Christian Roberts' 16.6 clip. Roberts, who also averages 6.3 rebounds per game, has scored at least 20 points in six of the team's last eight contests
HALL OF FAME NIGHT
Eight individuals will be officially inducted into the Indian Hills Hall of Fame at halftime of Saturday night's game. This year's class includes former Indian Hills Men's Basketball standout Dustin Hogue (2011-13).
A postgame reception in the Hellyer Center is open to the public.
