WARRIORS CONTINUE TO CLIMB IN NATIONAL POLLS

Ottumwa, IA – After another dominant week, the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team improved its national ranking in both the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Poll and in the JUCO Media Poll.

2-0 this week with wins over Sauk Valley Community College (IL) and Highland Community College (IL), head coach Hank Plona has his troops rallying at the right time. Jumping three more spots, the Warriors now sit at No. 12 in the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball poll and No. 7 in the JUCO Media Poll.

Moving up from their previous ranking of No. 15, the Warriors have caught fire, led by J'Vonne Hadley (Saint Paul, MN/Northeastern) who averaged 17.5 points in the two wins. In the JUCO Media Poll, Indian Hills moved up to No. 7, two spots higher than last week's ranking. The JUCO Media Poll is comprised of media members from around the country and is released by JucoRecruiting.com.

Winning big at home, the Warriors rolled to an 80-59 win over Sauk Valley. Hadley continued his excellent play with 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Taj Anderson (Queens, NY/Quality Education) had a great night behind the arc after hitting five threes. In another big win, the Warriors beat Highland on the road 69-39. Hadley dominated the competition once more with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists. Braxton Bayless (Ankeny, IA/ Ankeny) was an assist away from a double-double with 10 points and nine assists.

Back at home, the Warriors will host Marshalltown at 7:00 PM on Feb. 2 in the Hellyer Center.
