After a narrow two-point ICCAC loss to then-No. 17 Southeastern on Jan. 8, the Warriors have been trending in the right direction with a five-game winning streak. In the latest national rankings, the Warriors climbed to No. 12 in the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Poll and No. 7 in the JUCO Media Poll. The Warriors have played stellar basketball during its five-game stretch, winning by an average of 18.4 points per game while limiting the opposition to just 63.6 points per game.

The Tigers have faltered as of late, losing six of its last seven contests. Three of those losses came against opponents that also appeared on the Warriors' schedule in Highland, Southeastern, and Triton. The Tigers lost by an average of 8.6 points per contest in those three matchups. 

SERIES HISTORY

The two teams squared off earlier this season in ICCAC action in Marshalltown. Indian Hills pulled away from the Tigers to win 82-74 on Jan. 15 in the Student Activity Center.

The win pushed the all-time series to 88-18 in favor of the Warriors who have now won 20 consecutive matchups in the series.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

J'Vonne Hadley has been the constant force for the Warriors during the team's five-game winning streak. Hadley has picked up three consecutive ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors while posting a pair of double-doubles. Sophomore Braxton Bayless is coming off a strong performance against Highland with 10 points and a season-high nine assists.

David Roberts, Trey Sinegal, and Nuha Sagnia have each scored in double-digits in each of the last three games for the Tigers. The trio is averaging nearly 40 points a game combined on the year with Roberts leading the way at 15.8.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

At 1-1 in ICCAC play, the Warriors have their eyes set on the matchup against Marshalltown, as well as a looming showdown against Southeastern on Feb. 5. Southeastern is 2-0 in ICCAC play and is 19-3 on the season. The team with the best regular season conference record earns the No. 1 overall seed and home court advantage in the NJCAA Region XI Tournament.

Marshalltown will wrap up conference play against Southeastern on Feb. 19.

NATIONAL GIRLS & WOMEN IN SPORTS DAY

The Indian Hills Athletics Department is proud to celebrate the 36th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Wednesday, Feb. 2. To celebrate, the Warriors are allowing free admission to all local female sports teams to Wednesday night's men's basketball game at the Hellyer Center.

All local female sports teams – high school, middle school, youth, and travel teams across the region are encouraged to attend Wednesday night's game at 7:00 PM in the Hellyer Center. The Warriors, ranked No. 12 in the latest national rankings, are set to take on Marshalltown Community College in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) play.
