ZEIGLER'S CAREER-NIGHT POWERS WARRIORS

Ottumwa, IA – No. 7/5 Indian Hills Men's Basketball picked up its eighth consecutive victory Monday night as the Warriors rolled past visiting Carl Sandburg College (IL) 96-68 at the Hellyer Center. The win improves the Warriors' overall record to 22-5 on the year.

Coming off a dramatic win over No. 7 Southeastern Community College on Braxton Bayless' (Ankeny, IA/Ankeny) buzzer-beater on Saturday, the Warriors took care of business at home on Monday night. Indian Hills held a nine-point edge at halftime and outscored the Chargers by 19 in the final 20 minutes to earn its fifth 20-plus point victory in its last six contests.

The Warriors were led by Davin Zeigler's career-high 24 points after the sophomore went 10-16 from the floor and 3-6 from three-point range. Zeigler padded the stat line with six assists and five steals, both career-highs for the guard, to go along with zero turnovers

Eddiean Tirado (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Miami Triple Threat) scored 15 points on five made three-point shots. Taj Anderson (Queens, NY/Quality Education) added 14 points while Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) was a rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points.

J'Vonne Hadley's (St. Paul, MN/Northeastern) stretch of exceptional play continued as the sophomore grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds, including 12 in the first half, to finish with his fourth double-double in the team's last seven contests. Hadley added 14 points on 5-8 shooting against the Chargers.

The Warriors used a 51-33 rebounding advantage to overwhelm the Chargers on both ends of the court. 19 of the team's 51 rebounds came on the offensive glass which the Warriors turned into 23 second-change points. As a team, the Warriors outscored the Chargers 44-32 in the paint. Indian Hills forced 16 Charger miscues on the night and turned the errors into 27 points.

Indian Hills is back in action Saturday afternoon at Kankakee Community College (IL) for a 3:00 PM tip-off. The Warriors defeated the Cavaliers 112-72 on Jan. 22 at the Hellyer Center.
