WARRIORS ROUT KANKAKEE ON THE ROAD

Kankakee, IL – No. 7/5 Indian Hills Men's Basketball picked up an 87-47 road win at Kankakee Community College (IL) on Saturday afternoon in the team's final regular season test away from the Hellyer Center.

The Warriors improve to 23-5 overall on the year after securing its ninth consecutive win. Indian Hills completed the season sweep of the Cavaliers with the win on Saturday. Both victories over Kankakee this season have been by 40 points.

Sophomore J'Vonne Hadley (St. Paul, MN/Northeastern) led the way for the Warriors with 16 points, including 14 in the first half. Davin Zeigler (Cleveland, OH/Bowling Green) added 12 points while Taj Anderson (Queens, NY/Quality Education) and Adetokunbo Bakare (Newark, NJ/NJIT) each chipped in 10 points for the Warriors.

The Warriors built a 7-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest and extended the advantage to as many as 16 in the opening half as Hadley powered the Warriors early on. Indian Hills built its lead to 51-27 at the halftime break and used a defensive stronghold in the second half, allowing just 20 points to the Cavaliers to carry out the win.

The victory caps the regular season road schedule for the Warriors who finished a perfect 7-0 in true road games and 12-1 overall in contests away from Ottumwa.

Indian Hills will now host North Central Missouri College at 7:00 PM Wednesday night in the Hellyer Center before closing out the regular season against Triton College (IL) at 7:00 PM on Saturday night.
