WARRIORS RANKED NO. 1 FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – For the second consecutive week, the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team checks in at No. 1 in the nation in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Poll. The Warriors received 375 points and all 15 first-place votes.

The Warriors are ranked No. 1 in all three national junior college basketball polls for the second straight week, including the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Poll, the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Media Poll, and the Juco Hoop Scoop Top 25. The Warriors went 2-0 last week with a pair of victories at the Vista Auto Thanksgiving Classic in Casper, WY.

Sophomore Don McHenry (Milwaukee, WI/Hawaii-Hilo) averaged 19.5 points per game in the two contests last week while Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) added 13.5 points per game. David Jones (Sacramento, CA/Panola) added a double-double in the 94-69 win over Casper.

The Warriors are tied for the most victories in the nation and are the only 11-0 team among NJCAA DI Men's Basketball programs. Of the 11 wins, four victories have come against teams currently ranked in the national poll including No. 10 Dodge City Community College (KS), No. 12 John A. Logan College (IL), and Northwest Florida State College and Cloud County Community College in the receiving votes category.

The remainder of the Warriors' schedule features seven games against teams that are currently ranked or in the receiving votes category including No. 9 Moberly Area Community College (MO), No. 18 Triton College (IL), and a second matchup with Dodge City.

The Warriors have now been ranked No. 1 in the nation 36 weeks spread out across 11 seasons. Indian Hills has held the top spot in multiple weeks now in eight of those 11 years.

Indian Hills returns to action at the Hellyer Center this weekend for a pair of games. The Warriors will host Sauk Valley Community College at 7:00 PM Friday night and Kankakee Community College at 3:00 PM Saturday.
