BRIGGS LANDS ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Kheni Briggs (Kannapolis, NC/Charleston Southern) opened up his career at Indian Hills with a trio of dominant performances to land Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.

Briggs kicked off his season with a game-high 27 points to lead the Warriors to a 109-100 victory on the road at McCook Community College (NE). Briggs connected on 4-7 three-point shots and went 11-12 from the charity stripe.

The guard followed up with his first double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds in an 86-75 victory over Missouri State University – West Plains on the opening night of the Iowa-Missouri Challenge at the Hellyer Center. Briggs dropped 14 points to help the Warriors pick up a 75-72 win over No. 20 Moberly Area Community College Saturday night in front of the Warriors' home crowd.

On the week, Briggs averaged 17.3 points per game while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor and 95.0 percent from the free throw line. The freshman also tallied 14 reobounds, six assists, and three steals on the week.

The Warriors, who dropped a contest on the road Tuesday night to No. 1 nationally ranked Northwest Florida State College, return to action Wednesday night at Coastal Alabama Community College – North with tip-off set for 7:00 PM.
