WARRIORS ROLL TO EIGHTH STRAIGHT WIN

Ottumwa, IA – No. 13 Indian Hills Men's Basketball ran its winning streak to a season-best eight games on Monday night as the Warriors rolled through McCook Community College (NE) 92-59 at the Hellyer Center. The win pushes the Warriors to 24-5 overall on the year and 16-1 on their home court.

Four players reached double-figures in the victory, led by Amarion Nimmers (Rock Island, IL/Iowa) with a team-high 20 points. William Beugre-Kassi (Pontoise, France/Albert Thomas) tallied 17 points on 7-11 shooting while Kheni Briggs (Kannapolis, NC/Charleston Southern) connected on four three-point shots to add 15 points off the bench. TJ Morris (Queens, NY/Northeastern Oklahoma A&M) filled the stat sheet once again and finished the night with 13 points.

The Warriors, who defeated the Indians 109-100 in the team's season opener on November 7, held McCook to nearly 20 points below its season average. Indian Hills dominated the glass with a 53-29 rebounding advantage on the night, including an 18-7 edge on the offensive glass. The Warriors dished out 21 assists on the team's 34 field goals, the second-most helpers in a single game this season.

Nimmers sparked the offense in the first half with an efficient performance from the floor. The guard tallied 16 points off the bench in the first half alone and finished the night 8-11 from the floor and 4-6 from three-point range.

Morris once again left his mark on both ends of the court for the Warriors. The sophomore guard finished night with eight rebounds and six assists in the win. Morris, who has now scored in double-figures in seven consecutive contests, is averaging 13.0 points per game to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists during the stretch.

Indian Hills wasted little time jumping out to a sizable lead in the first half on Monday night, the team's third consecutive home contest. A three from Briggs and a three-point play from Davontae Hall (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park) gave Indian Hills a 16-8 advantage. The Warriors extended the lead to 21 as Nimmers hit back-to-back three-point shots from alternating corners to ignite the home crowd. Indian Hills took a 44-20 lead into the locker room at the break.

The second half proved to be much of the same for the Warriors as the team combined to shoot 51.4 percent from the floor over the final 20 points. Kassi scored 12 of his points in the finale frame while 10 players in total found the scoring column in the second half to give Indian Hills its sixth all-time win over the Indians in six previous meetings.

Indian Hills will close out its regular season slate on Saturday night at the Hellyer Center with a matchup against No. 3 nationally ranked Triton College (IL). Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM.
