LABEAUX NAMED MVP AT NJCAA ALL-STAR GAME

Las Vegas, NV – Former Indian Hills Men's Basketball All-American Trevion LaBeaux was named the Ken Rochlitz MVP of the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Basketball All-Star game at Orleans Arena. LaBeaux helped lead the North All Stars to a 123-117 victory.

Competing against some of the top junior college players from across the nation, LaBeaux set himself apart with a dominant performance, scoring 20 points to go along with a game-high 12 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. LaBeaux finished the game 7-11 from the floor, including 1-2 from three-point range and 5-6 from the free throw line. The NJCAA First-Team All-American also added two steals and a block in the win.

LaBeaux was one of 25 individuals selected to compete in the annual event. LaBeaux becomes the second Warrior to win MVP honors at the All-Star game, joining Jameel McKay who took home top honors in the 2013 event.

The Warriors have now been represented in three consecutive All-Star games as LaBeaux joined Don McHenry (2023) and J'Vonne Hadley (2022). Additional Warrior alums that competed in the event also include Shane Gatling (2018), Chris McNeal (2017), Nuni Omot (2016), Jordan Washington (2015), Lester Medford (2014), and McKay.

LaBeaux recently capped his two-year career with the Warriors after leading the program to its second consecutive Final Four appearance at the national tournament. LaBeaux has committed to East Carolina University to continue his academic and athletic career.
