Twin Falls, ID – The No. 10 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Basketball squad is set for its longest road trek of the year as the Warriors head to Twin Falls, ID and the campus of the College of Southern Idaho for this weekend's Physician's Immediate Care/North Canyon Medical Invitational.

Indian Hills will make the 1,327 mile trek to scenice Twin Falls, ID for its first matchups outside of the Hellyer Center this year.

STARTING FIVE

• The Warriors jumped one spot in this week's NJCAA poll to No. 10 and also checked in at No. 8 in the latest JUCO Media Poll.
• Indian Hills is coming off its largest win of the year, a 91-61 victory over Dodge City Community College (KS) to wrap up the team's five-game homestand.
• This weekend's contests prove to be the longest haul of the year for the Warriors, and the first of three different states Indian Hills will compete in this year.
• Freshman forward Vladyslav Semerych was named this week's ICCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week after a strong showing in the RV & Powersports Classic.
• Through five games this year, 10 different players are averaging at least 5.0 PPG in a well-balanced attack for the Warriors.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

Indian Hills and Colorado Northwestern will square off for just the second time in program history.

• The two programs will meet for the first time in 48 years. The two sides met in 1976 at the T-Bird Classic in Casper, WY, a 102-98 win for the Warriors.
• The Spartans are off to one of its best starts in recent memory, bringing an unblemished 5-0 record into Friday's tilt.
• Colorado Northwestern took three wins in Arizona last week, scoring victories over Scottsdale Community College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, and Mesa Community College.
• Tyler Christensen leads three players in double-figures with a team-high 14.0 PPG

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES

Indian Hills and Southern Idaho, two of the premiere junior college basketball programs in the nation year in and year out, have combined for six national championships and 47 trips to the national tournament.

• The Golden Eagles are off to a 4-1 start this year, including an 89-81 win over then-No. 3 Daytona State College (FL).
• CSI's lone loss came to Eastern Florida State, ranked No. 12 in the latest polls, 77-75 in Twin Falls.
• All five of the Golden Eagles' matchups this year have come on their home court.
• Sophomore Isaac Hawkins leads the offense with 16.4 PPG followed by Amarco Doyle's 16.2 PPG.
• Saturday's affair will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two programs, all since 2012, and the Warriors' third trip to Twin Falls:

  • December 29, 2018: Southern Idaho 75, Indian Hills 69 (Twin Falls, ID)

WHAT'S NEXT

The Warriors' road swing continues with three consecutive games in the state of Illinois. Indian Hills will travel to Wabash Valley College (IL) on November 20 followed by a pair of games in Carbondale, IL on November 22-23 at the John A. Logan Invitational.
