WARRIORS DROP TROJANS FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT

Twin Falls, ID – No. 10 Indian Hills Men's Basketball scored its fourth consecutive win with a 79-63 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College on the opening night of the CSI Invite. The Warriors move to 5-1 overall on the year.

Led by 15 points apiece from both sophomore William Beugre-Kassi (Pontoise, France/Albert Thomas) and freshman Zevin Gadson (Akron, OH/__), the Warriors handed the Trojans (5-1) their first defeat of the year. The Warriors, ranked No. 10 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball poll, picked up its fourth consecutive win on the opening night of the CSI Invite.

As a team, the Warriors connected on a season-high 14 three-point shots on 40.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc. In the team's past two games, the Warriors are 26-65 (40.0 percent) from long-range. Gadson led the Warriors' attack with a season-best five three-point shots on nine attempts. Freshman Mason Costello (Waukee, IA/Waukee) added three trey's to finish the night with 10 points.

Kassi collected his second double-double of the year after pulling down a game-high 10 rebounds. The sophomore added four assists and a pair of steals in the win. Fellow sophomore Kayden Nation (Peoria, IL/Western Nebraska) added eight points to go along with four blocked shots and two steals.

The Warriors got off to a fast start after back-to-back three-point shots put Indian Hills up 10-2 in the opening minutes Friday night. Gadson's first three of the night doubled up the Trojans with a 22-11 edge midway through the first half. Seven different players connected from beyond the three-point range in the opening half as Indian Hills built a commanding 45-24 lead at the break.

Indian Hills pushed its lead to its largest of the night in the opening minutes of the second half on an Abdoulaye Fall (Dakar, Senegal/Cloud County) lay-in to make it 51-24. Gadson added a pair of three-point shots in the second frame as the Warriors maintained a comfortable double-digit advantage the rest of the way.

The Warriors forced 21 turnovers on the night, the team's fourth game this year with at least 20 miscues from the opposition. Indian Hills turned the 21 turnovers into 21 points on the night. The Warriors once again saw an efficient night from its reserves as the bench tallied 38 points on the night.

Indian Hills returns to action Saturday night for the final event of the CSI Invite with an 8:00 PM (CST) matchup against host and No. 16 nationally ranked College of Southern Idaho.
