Ottumwa, IA – Indian Hills Men's Basketball Head Coach Cole Dewey has been selected to attend the Silver Waves Media Elite 75 Power Lunch, one of the most prestigious events for college basketball coaches around the nation each year. This year's event will be held April 3 in San Antonio, TX.
The event serves as a professional development opportunity for some of the top coaches in college basketball. Dewey is one of just two junior college coaches to be invited to the event that consists of 75 college coaches alongside more than 60 Athletic Directors, Assistant Athletic Directors, and college Presidents as guest speakers. This year's list of coaches selected include individuals from Power 5 programs such as Kentucky, Iowa State, Iowa, Louisville, Kansas, among others.
"There are so many great coaches chosen for this prestigious event, stated Dewey. "I'm honored and humbled to be selected. Ryan Silver has always done a great job helping coaches any way he can. Putting together an event like this, that puts us coaches in front of AD's, Presidents, Agents, etc. is just one of many ways he continues to grow this profession in the right direction. I am very excited for this opportunity."

In his first season at the helm of the Warriors, Dewey has led Indian Hills to a 20-4 overall record and up to No. 3 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball rankings. Dewey was named the Week 5 HoopDirt.Com Coach of the Week on December 9.
In addition to Dewey, former Indian Hills Men's Basketball student-athlete Ali Farokmanesh (2006-07) and former Indian Hills Men's Basketball Head Coach Barret Peery (2011-24) have been invited to the event.
