MEN'S SOCCER RECEIVES VOTES IN LATEST POLL

NJCAA DI MEN'S SOCCER POLL

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Soccer squad checked into the national rankings for the second consecutive week as the Warriors appeared in the receiving votes category in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer Poll.

After earning a spot at No. 18 last week, the team's first national ranking since 2019, the Warriors posted a 1-1-0 record last week. Indian Hills dismantled Scott Community College with a program record 20 goals before suffering a 4-2 defeat on the road to Northeast Community College (NE).

The Warriors are sitting at 5-3-0 overall on the year and have won four of its last five contests. Indian Hills currently leads all NJCAA soccer programs with 44 goals on the season while teammates Kento Tani (Tokyo, Japan/Nihon University Sano) and Daniele Verdirosi (Rome, Italy/Araniti) are tied for sixth in the country with seven goals apiece. Freshman Ron Becker (Tubingen, Germany/Evangelisches Firstwald Gymnasium) ranks second nationally with seven assists this season.

Indian Hills is one of three programs from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) to appear in this week's national rankings. Undefeated Iowa Western Community College sits at No. 1 followed by Iowa Lakes Community College at No. 9.

The Warriors head to North Iowa Area Community College for a 1:00 PM matchup Wednesday afternoon.
