ANDERSON NAMED ICCAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Madie Anderson (Mt. Pleasant, IA/Winfield Mt. Union) of the Indian Hills Softball team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Pitcher of the Week, the second consecutive weekly honor for the Warrior pogram.

Anderson, a freshman, tossed six scoreless innings to lead the Warriors to an 8-0 victory over Lincoln Land Community College. Anderson allowed just four hits in the win while striking out nine batters, the second most in a game this season for the righty. Anderson did not issue a walk during the victory, her fifth of the season.

Anderson currently owns a 6-2 record on the year for the Warriors and leads the team with 61 strikeouts.

Teammate Madi Huisman (Ankeny, IA/Ankeny Centennial) received ICCAC Pitcher of the Week honors last week for the Warriors.

Following the Warriors' doubleheader sweep of Ellsworth Community College on Tuesday, Indian Hills returns to action with a doubleheader at Marshalltown Community College on Friday afternoon.
