Women's Soccer Players Moving On

Women's Soccer

Ottumwa -- A signing ceremony at Indian Hills on May 2 brought together many of the IHCC student-athletes who signed letters of intent with four-year schools where they will continue their athletic and academic careers.  This is what head women's soccer coach Anthony Longo had to say about his players who were part of the ceremony (their future schools are listed):

Molly Kellar -- Central College: Molly was a transfer student who joined the team as a freshman.  After taking a year off from playing, she was able to work her way into the forward rotation and had a nice career with us.  She will be a great addition to the team at Central.

Carmen Kager -- Point University: Carmen was a utility player for us and contributed to the team in several different spots throughout her career.  As a versatile player, she was able to play as both a forward and midfielder throughout her two years.

Emma Rosner -- Corban University: As a high school standout, Emma came in and was a fixture in the starting lineup from the first game she played.  She had a stellar sophomore year, finishing second on the team in goals and assists.  Corban is getting a very offensively-gifted player who will help continue the success of their program.

Jocelyn Walker -- Concordia College - New York: Jocelyn came is as a transfer and battled injuries her first year.  After sitting out the year, she was able to come back in great shape and started as a defender for her entire sophomore season.  She is a very intelligent player who can play anywhere on the backline.  Jocelyn will continue to have a great career at the four-year level.

Charlyann Pizzarello -- Graceland University: Charlyann was one of the most talented players to come through the program.  She had a stellar two years, earning all-conference honors both seasons.  As a two-year starter Charlyann was a constant threat offensively and consistently performed when it mattered.  Graceland is getting a top player who will help push them to the top of their conference.

Calista Fuessley -- Clarke University: Calista was a two-year starter as a defender.  She played nearly every minute her freshman season, and every minute as a sophomore.  Calista played in several spots along the backline, and was a steady presence defensively.
