WIEMANN LANDS SECOND WEEKLY HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Bailey Wiemann (Burlington, IA/Burlington) of the No. 10 Indian Hills Women's Soccer team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Wiemann boasted another impressive week on the pitch for the nationally ranked Warriors. In two matches last week, Wiemann scored three goals and added an assist to maintain her hold on top of the national statistical leaderboards.

Wiemann scored a pair of goals in a 4-1 win at home vs. Hawkeye Community College on Sept. 15, the sophomore's third consecutive multi-goal match. Wiemann followed up with a goal and an assist in an 8-0 vs. Iowa Lakes Community College to help the Warriors improve to 10-0-0 on the year.

The top-scorer in the nation, Wiemann currently leads the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) with 38 points on the year. Wiemann's 14 goals rank second while her 10 assists are tied for the best mark in the country.

Wiemann was previously awarded the ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor on Aug. 31.

Wiemann and the Warriors host No. 4 and unbeaten Iowa Western Community College at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Schafer Stadium.
