ANDERSON, WIEMANN EARN WEEKLY ACCOLADES

Ottumwa, IA – Two members of the No. 7 ranked Indian Hills Women's Soccer team have been tapped as this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athletes of the Week. Sophomore Bailey Wiemann (Burlington, IA/Burlington) and Sydney Ray Anderson (Elkhart, IA/North Polk) have earned the weekly honors for the Warriors.

Both Wiemann and Anderson helped lead the Warriors to a victory over No. 4 and previously undefeated Iowa Western Community College in conference action on Saturday. Indian Hills defeated the Reivers 3-1 at home to improve to 11-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in ICCAC play on the year.

Wiemann was chosen as the ICCAC DI Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time overall this season. Wiemann tallied three points for the Warriors against Iowa Western, assisting on the game's first goal and scoring the team's second goal, the eventual game-winner.

Wiemann leads the nation with 41 total points on the year and ranks second in total assists with 11 and third overall with 15 goals on the year.

Anderson was named ICCAC DI Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her role in net in the Warriors' victory on Saturday. The freshman entered the match at halftime and stopped six shots in 45 minutes of action to blank the Reivers in the second half. The freshman has allowed just one goal in three appearances this year for Indian Hills.

Anderson becomes the second Warrior goalkeeper to earn ICCAC defensive honors, joining fellow teammate Trisha Westphal (Lockridge, IA/Fairfield).

The Warriors host Black Hawk College (IL) on Wednesday afternoon at 12:00 PM before taking on ICCAC foe Iowa Central Community College at 12:00 PM Saturday for the team's Sophomore Day.
