WARRIORS BLANK TROJANS ON THE ROAD

Mason City, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Soccer team bounced back with a 2-0 victory over North Iowa Area Community College on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors move to 7-2-0 overall on the year.

Coming off just its second loss of the season, the Warriors put home two first half goals and held off the Trojans for the team's fifth shutout of the year. Sophomore's Abbie Bailey (Redditch, England/Arrowvale) and Mifumi Sasanuma (Tokyo, Japan/Shutoku) were credited with the team's goals.

Freshman Teagan Hall (Polk City, IA/Ankeny Centennial) pitched the complete game shutout for Indian Hills to improve to 2-1-0 overall this year.

The Warriors outshot the Trojans by a wide margin with a 36-1 advantage. Sophomore Dare Kroeten (St. Louis Park, MN/St. Louis Park) produced 11 shots in the win for Indian Hills.

Bailey recorded her third goal of the season in the 18th minute of action. The sophomore received an assist from Kroeten, the sophomore's third of the season.

Just over five minutes later, Sasanuma produced her third goal of the season on an assist from freshman Kenya Lee (Cassopolis, MI/Dowagiac).

Next up for Indian Hills is the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) opener vs. Iowa Central Community College. The two teams will square off on the Indian Hills campus at 3:30 PM on Saturday, September 17.
