WARRIORS FALL TO NO. 8 REIVERS

Council Bluffs, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Soccer team suffered a 3-1 defeat to No. 8 Iowa Western Community College on Wednesday. The Warriors fall to 8-4-0 overall on the year and 1-2-0 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) play.

The Warriors fell behind early after a Reiver goal in the 31st minute of play. Indian Hills stayed within striking distance to open the second half, but Iowa Western tacked on a pair of goals within a four-minute span to pull away.

Indian Hills scored its lone goal from the leg of sophomore Abbie Bailey (Redditch, England/Arrowvale) in the closing minutes. With less than four to play on the clock, Bailey launched a free kick from just inside the midfield stripe that carried into the back of the net. The score was Bailey's fourth of the year and seventh career goal.

Freshman Teagan Hall (Polk City, IA/Ankeny Centennial) stopped nine shots on net for the Warriors.

The Warriors' road trip continues with a matchup at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA on Saturday, October 1. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM from the Rogers Sports Complex.
