CANNON NAMED ASSISTANT WOMEN'S SOCCER COACH

Ottumwa, IA – Jack Cannon has been named the new Indian Hills Women's Soccer Assistant Coach, announced by the Indian Hills Athletic Department Tuesday morning.

"We are excited to get a young and energetic coach like Jack into the program," stated head coach Jon Hussak. "His playing background along with his coaching licenses makes him an invaluable member of this department."

Cannon joins the Indian Hills program after previously serving on the coaching staff of Florida Rush, a nationally recognized club organization focused on the development of youth players throughout Florida. Cannon worked with multiple age groups and was integral in the creation of the U14 girls program this past season, finishing in the Round of 8 in the State Cup and third in the Sunshine Conference Academy League.

While with Florida Rush, Cannon obtained his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Class C National License.

"Being able to join a program such as Indian Hills is something I have dreamed of since I started coaching and I couldn't be more excited to join the squad for the upcoming season," stated Cannon. "I want to personally thank the college and coach Hussak for allowing me to have this opportunity – being able to take this step in my career is amazing. Being a part of this program that has established history and success is something that excites me, and being able to help coach Hussak build a competitive environment centered around success on the pitch as well as the classroom is something that I look forward to being a part of."

Cannon graduated from Valencia College (FL) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Organization and Leadership with a certificate in Operational Support Services.

Prior to Valencia, Cannon attended Catawba College (NC) year where he was a member of the men's soccer team.
