Ottumwa -- Playing their second match in as many nights, Indian Hills split the first two sets with visiting Carl Sandburg Wednesday night. The Warriors then used an 8-0 run to pull out the third set and closed out the Chargers in set four to improve their season record to 14-3.
Jessica DaSilva's ace serve ended the first set, IHCC winning 25-18. Carl Sandburg talllied the final three points of the next set to even the match with a 25-22 win. It was 15-14 IHCC in the third set when DaSilva served eight straight points for the Warriors and Indian Hills went ahead in the match with a 25-18 verdict. Jumping out to an 11-4 lead in the fourth set, the Warriors closed out the Chargers with a 25-16 win.
Indian Hills, ranked 6th in NJCAA Division I, will play four matches in the Hutchinson Blue Dragons Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
