WARRIORS CHECK IN AT NO. 3 IN NATIONAL POLL

NJCAA DI VOLLEYBALL RANKINGS

Ottumwa, IA – After a four-week run as the nation's No. 2 ranked team, the Indian Hills Volleyball squad slipped one spot to No. 3 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball Poll, announced on Monday by the NJCAA DI Volleyball Committee.

The Warriors are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the annual Iowa-Missouri Challenge where Indian Hills posted a strong finish with two victories on Saturday, one day after seeing the team's 19-match winning streak snapped. Despite the loss, the Warriors still hold the title as the nation's winningest team with 28 victories on the year.

Indian Hills saw its first loss since August 27 on Friday in a 3-2 battle with No. 11 Missouri State University-West Plains. The Warriors bounced back on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over No. 16 Mineral Area College (MO) and a 3-0 sweep of Jefferson College (MO) to move to 28-2 overall on the year.

Salt Lake Community College (UT) the only other team to defeat Indian Hills this year, moved to No. 2 in the national rankings with a 19-2 overall record. Florida SouthWestern State College maintained its hold on the top spot with a 14-0 record.

Indian Hills is currently 9-2 vs. teams currently in the NJCAA national rankings and/or receiving votes category.

The Warriors head to Cedar Rapids, IA on Friday for a triangular at Kirkwood Community College. Indian Hills will take on Parkland College (IL) at 3:00 PM followed by a match with Kirkwood at 5:00 PM.
