Ottumwa, IA – Eight former members of the Indian Hills Volleyball program recently wrapped up successful seasons at four-year colleges. Additionally, a former Warrior standout and coach completed her second season as a head coach at the next level.

Brooke Amann (2021)  |  Tennessee Tech University

Amann joined the Warrior program as a transfer for the 2021 season and made an immediate impact in her lone year in Ottumwa. Amann helped guide the Warriors to the NJCAA Midwest District Championship match and ranked second on the team with 250 kills. Amann was a two-time Academic All-Region selection at Indian Hills.

In Amann's debut season at Tennessee Tech, the outside hitter appeared in 30 matches on the year and tallied 77 kills and 23 total blocks. The Golden Eagles won 17 matches and reached the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinal round. Amann produced a season-high 13 kills in one of the team's final matches of the season.


Gabriela Cavalcante Oliveira (2018-20)  |  University of St. Francis

Cavalcante spent two full seasons under head coach Lyndsey Michel before moving on to the University of St. Francis for the 2022 season. While at Indian Hills, Cavalcante led the Warriors with 252 kills while appearing in 20 matches during the 2021 year. Throughout her career, Cavalcante totaled 443 kills 325 digs while earning Academic All-Region honors.

In 22 matches this past season at St. Francis, Cavalcante posted 325 kills, the second-most on the team as the Fighting Saints reached the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament.


Precious Daley (2021-22)  |  University of North Carolina at Pembroke

A 2021 NJCAA All-American for the Warriors, Daley put together one of the most impressive careers at Indian Hills before moving on to UNC Pembroke. Daley became the 13th All-American in school history in 2021 and was a two-time NJCAA Region XI First-Team selection. Daley was also a two-time NJCAA All-Academic selection and a four-time member of the Academic All-Region XI First-Team.

Daley was a member of the Conference Carolinas Championship squad that went 21-14 on the year and reached the NCAA DII Volleyball Southeast Regional Tournament. In her first season at UNC Pembroke, Daley totaled 138 kills and 30 total blocks on the year.


Zara McCauley (2020-21)  |  Post University

A two-year member of the Indian Hills Volleyball squad, McCauley appeared in 29 matches during her time as a Warrior. McCauley helped lead the Warriors to back-to-back appearances in the NJCAA Midwest District Title match. Off the court, McCauley was a four-time member of the NJCAA Academic All-Region XI team, including a three-time first-team selection.

At Post, McCauley made an immediate impact on the court, appearing in 24 matches while posting 88 kills and 130 total digs on the year.


Mariana Rodrigues (2020)  |  Drake University

A two-time NJCAA All-American at Indian Hills, Rodrigues left as one of the most decorated players in Warrior volleyball program history. Rodrigues finished her two-year career at Indian Hills as the all-time kills leader with 1,090 from 2018-19. The outside hitter was also a two-time All-Region XI First-Team selection and the 2019 ICCAC Player of the Year.

Rodrigues recently wrapped up her collegiate career at Drake University and helped lead the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish at the Women's National Invitational Volleyball Championship and helped produce the best season in program history. Rodrigues was named to the NIVC All-Tournament after recording 57 kills in three matches. Rodrigues ranked second on the team this year with 510 kills.


Chantal Paniagua (2021-22)  |  Peru State University

A two-year member of the Indian Hills Volleyball squad, Paniagua appeared in 29 career matches as a Warrior. Paniagua was a four-time member of the NJCAA Academic All-Region XI First-Team and was twice selected to the NJCAA All-Academic Team for maintain a GPA of 3.6 or better throughout her career.

At Peru State, Paniagua appeared in 28 of a possible 29 matches in her first season for the Bobcats. Paniagua ranked second on the team with 252 digs and posted 19 service aces.


Melodee Schulte (2022)  |  Grand View University

Melodde Schulte joined the Warriors for the fall 2021 season and appeared in 30 of a possible 32 matches. Schulte ranked second on the team with 235 digs. Schulte earned ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors and was named to the Academic All-Region XI squad.

Schulte appeared in 31 of a possible 32 matches for the Vikings this season and tallied 287 digs while adding 17 service aces. Grand View reached the quarterfinal round of the Heart of American Conference Championship.


Anja Vranic (2021-22)  | Gannon University

Anja Vranic was a two-time member of the Warrior Volleyball team and appeared in 55 career matches as team's primary libero. Vranic ranked third in the ICCAC in total digs as a sophomore. Vranic was a three-time member of the Academic All-Region XI team.

Vranic helped lead Gannon to a 29-6 record on the year and a berth in the NCAA DII Elite Eight. Vranic served as a primary contributor, appearing in 34 of the 35 matches on the year. Vranic ranked third on the team with 38 service aces and fifth with 233 digs.

Carly Wehling (2010-11, 2019-20)  |  University of North Carolina at Pembroke (Head Coach)

A two-time All-Region XI selection as a player at Indian Hills, Carl Wehling turned her on-court experience into a head coaching role at UNC Pembroke. Wehling played two seasons for the Warriors before embarking on a coaching career that included a two-year stint at her alma mater from 2019-21 under current head coach Lyndsey Michel.

Following her time at Indian Hills, Wehling took the head coaching job at UNC Pembroke in 2021 and recently completed her second season for the Braves. In two season, Wehling has guided the program to 44 victories, including a 29-5 record in conference action. The Braves won the Conference Carolinas Championship this year and advanced to the NCAA DII Southest Regional Tournament.
