WARRIORS CONTINUE TO CLIMB, RANKED NO. 14

NJCAA VOLLEYBALL RANKINGS - WEEK 5

Ottumwa, IA – A 4-0 weekend at the Blue Dragon Classic catapulted the Indian Hills Volleyball team to the No. 14 spot in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball rankings.

Riding an eight-match winning streak, the Warriors jumped three spots to its highest ranking of the year since the preseason polls. The Warriors have won 11 of its last 12 matches after taking 12 out of 13 sets over the weekend at the Blue Dragon Classic. Indian Hills has dropped just three sets during the team's eight-match win streak.

Indian Hills picked up three consecutive straight-set victories over the weekend in Hutchinson, KS with sweeps over Spartanburg Methodist College (SC), host Hutchinson Community College (KS), and NJCAA Midwest District foe Mineral Area College (MO). The Warriors closed out the weekend with a 3-1 win over Butler Community College (KS), avenging an August loss to the Grizzlies.

Sophomore Kinga Michalska (Szówsko, Poland/ZSSCHiO) reached the 700-kill plateau after four double-digit kill efforts over the weekend.

Indian Hills currently ranks in the top-10 in eight NJCAA statistical categories, including assists (3rd), assists/set (5th), and service aces (7th).

The Warriors are back at the Hellyer Center Monday night to take on Hawkeye Community College at 6:00 PM.
