Ottumwa, IA – Following a pair of home wins last week, the Indian Hills Volleyball squad climbed to No. 18 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball Poll, announced Monday afternoon.
The Warriors picked up a pair of wins last week, a 3-0 sweep of Jefferson College (MO) before a thrilling 3-2 victory over Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) foe Iowa Western Community College on Thursday night. With the two wins, the Warriors pushed their season record to 20-9, the team's fourth consecutive year reaching 20 wins.
The Warriors have now been ranked in all nine national polls this year and have been ranked in 16 consecutive ratings dating back to last season. Indian Hills heads into he homestretch of the year having won three consecutive matches and nine of its last 11.
Indian Hills continues to be one of the top offensive teams in the nation as the Warriors rank fifth in the country with 1,384 kills, led by sophomore Sara Van Gisteren's (Leuth, Netherlands/Young Talent Academy ROC Nijmegen) 502 kills, second-most in the NJCAA. Indian Hills also ranks seventh in the nation with 248 service aces and third with 1,353 assists.

Indian Hills returns to action October 23 with its third regular season contest against Iowa Western. With the regular season series all knotted at one, the Warriors will look to claim the regular season title for the third consecutive year. Action from Council Bluffs, IA gets underway at 7:00 PM.
