MICHEL NOTCHES 400TH CAREER WIN

Ottumwa, IA – With a win in Sunday's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball Midwest B District Championship, Indian Hills Volleyball Head Coach Lyndsey Michel collected her 400th career head coaching victory.

The all-time winningest coach in Indian Hills history, Michel led the Warriors to their third consecutive District championship with Sunday's milestone victory. The win catapulted the Warriors to their third straight national tournament berth, and sixth appearance in program history, with four under the direction of Michel.

With a 25-9 record in 2024, the Warriors have now collected at least 20 wins in a season 10 times under Michel, including a remarkable 98 victories over the last three seasons. Michel has collected 365 career wins at Indian Hills to go along with 35 wins during her two-year stint at Ellsworth Community College prior to taking the reins in Ottumwa.

Michel, a four-time Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Coach of the Year, boasts a career .680 winning percentage.

With Sunday's win, the Warriors will compete in the upcoming NJCAA DI Volleyball National Championship November 20-23 in Clarksville, TN. The Warriors will learn their seed and opponent in the upcoming tournament on Wednesday afternoon at 12:00 PM via the NJCAA Network.
