NEXT LEVEL WARRIORS: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Volleyball team has made three consecutive trips to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball Championship. The success of those programs have carried over to four-year institutions as more than 15 individuals are competing at the next level.

Take a look below to see how 16 former Indian Hills standouts fared during their 2024 seasons.


Esra Akcay (2021-22)  |  Mercyhurst University

  • Akcay closed out her collegiate career by starting 22 matches for Mercyhurst, second-most on the team. Akcay competed in a total of 39 matches over the past two seasons for the Lakers.

Brooke Amann (2021)  |  Tennessee Tech University

  • Amann closed out her collegiate court career with the Golden Eagles this fall having scored 65 points on the year. Amann is also a member of the Golden Eagles' beach volleyball squad, set to enter its third season in 2025.

Larissa Barreiros Scatamburlo (2022-23)  |  University of Alaska Fairbanks

  • A two-year member of the Warriors, including an All-Region performance as a sophomore, Scatamburlo appeared in nine contests in her inaugural season with the Nanooks. As a team, the program tied a school record with 21 wins on the year.

Gabriela Bieniek (2023)  |  Mercy University

  • Bieniek appeared in 25 of the team's 27 matches in her debut season with the Mavericks. Bieniek ranked second on the team with 333 kills while adding a program-best 55 service aces.

Lisa Bonnefoy (2012-22)  |  Oakland City University

  • Competing in her second season with the Mighty Oaks, Bonnefoy appeared in all 30 contests, totaling 268 digs and a team-high 48 service aces on the year.

Erica Calderon Rosario (2021-22)  |  Campellsville University

  • After transferring to Campbellsville for the 2024 campaign, Rosario appeared in 18 matches for the Tigers. A former NJCAA All-Tournament team selection at Indian Hills, Rosario totaled 14 blocks and 27 kills in 2024.

Precious Daley (2020-21)  |  University of North Carolina Pembroke

  • After missing the 2023 season, Daley bounced back in impresive fashion in 2024, appearing in 109 sets and 32 matches on the year. Daley ranked second on the team with 278 kills and 70 total blocks for the Braves.

Jarolin de los Santos (2020-22)  |  University of North Dakota

  • In her second season with the Fighting Hawks, de los Santos starred with 163 kills and 105 blocks while appearing in all 27 matches. The all-time blocks leader at Indian Hills, de los Santos ranked seventh in the Summity League in total blocks on the year.

Hennesys Lalane (2020-22)  |  Northwestern Oklahoma State University

  • In her first season with the Rangers, Lalane, a former NJCAA All-American with the Warriors, stepped in as the team's primary setter. Lalane dished out a team-high 621 assists while adding 19 service aces and 82 kills on the year.

Zara McCauley (2020-21)  |  University of Tennessee Martin

  • McCauley transferred to UT-Martin for her final collegiate season in 2024, playing alongside former teammate Jenna Vallee. McCauley will compete for the Skyhawks' beach volleyball squad in the 2025 season.

Kinga Michalska (2022-23)  |  Eckerd College

  • Following a record-breaking career at Indian Hills, Michalska continued her remarkable career with the Tritons where she ranked second on the team in kills this year with 284. Michalska tallied 66 service aces on the year and tied for third-most in the nation with 66 service aces/set.

Maggie Paiva (2022-23)  |  Southeastern Louisiana University

  • Maggie Paiva is set to begin her beach volleyball career with the Lions. The new season gets underway in 2025.

Jenna Vallee (2020-22)  |  University of Tennessee Martin

  • Vallee wrapped up her collegiate career by appearing in 24 matches for the Skyhawks. In two seasons with UT-Martin, Vallee totaled 324 kills and 42 total blocks. Vallee will continue to compete for the beach volleyball squad entering the 2025 season.

Carly Wehling (2010-11)  |  Head coach, Concordia University Wisconsin

  • A former All-Region performer and assistant coach for the Warriors, Wehling has carved out an impressive coaching career after her second season with the Falcons in 2024. Concordia has posted back-to-back winning seasons, including 18 victories in 2024 while reaching the NACC Tournament Championship match.

Emme Wilson (2022-23)  |  Wayland Baptist University

  • Wilson joined the Pioneers for the 2024 season and appeared in 18 matches. Wilson ranked third on the time with 190 assists as the team advanced to the NCCAA Central Region Championship match.

Izabela Zukwoski (2022)  |  Emmanuel University

  • Zukowski is in her second season with the Lions' beach program after winning 11 matches a year ago in just their second season of competition.
