Pella, Iowa -- Sophomore Maddie Bach had a decisive victory in her initial meet for Indian Hills, the transfer running 19:36 over the 5K course to claim the championship in the Dutch Invitational on Friday.  Bach finished 18 seconds ahead of Emma Zimmerman of Grinnell College.

Kaylee Ford was the second Indian Hills runner, with a 10th-place finish in 20:49.  Next was Vanessa Blanco who was 17th in 22:09.  Blanco edged teammates Ashlyn Elmore and Amanda Wakelin, who were 18th and 19th, respectively.

The next two spots belonged to Warriors -- Emelia Keith was 20th and Raquel Contreras 21st.

Indian Hills will now prepare for the Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell on Sept. 9.
