Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Emily Casterline (Pella, IA/Belvidere) of the Indian Hills Women's Cross Country team opened up her collegiate career in impressive fashion and has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Casterline and the Warriors competed at the Dutch Invitational in Pella, IA on Friday night. In a field of over 40 runners, Casterline placed eighth overall as the top Warrior to cross the finish line. Casterline's time of 20:38.1 was one of the top performances in head coach Brent Ewing's tenure at Indian Hills.

Casterline and the Warriors return to action Saturday at the Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell, IA.
