WARRIOR MEN, WOMEN NATIONALLY RANKED

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's and Women's Cross Country teams both found themselves in the national rankings for the second time this season, announced by the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday.

The Warrior men entered the second ranking of the season at No. 14 after beginning the season at No. 6. Indian Hills is the third-highest ranked program from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) behind No. 1 Iowa Central Community College and No. 3 Iowa Western Community College.

The Warriors are coming off of a fourth-place finish at the 59th annual Les Duke Invitational at Grinnell College on Sept. 11. Returning All-American Nick O'Connor (Tiffin, IA/Clear Creek Amana) has paced the Warriors in each of its two meets this season. O'Connor earned ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors earlier in the season.

On the women's side, the Warriors are ranked No. 17 in the coaches poll after a seventh-place showing at the Les Duke Invitational. In each of the team's meets this year, freshman Emily Casterline (Pella, IA/Belvidere) has led the Warriors with two first-place finishes. Casterline was previously named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Both squads are back in action this Saturday at the Grand View Invitational in Ankeny, IA. The women open up at 10:30 AM followed by the men at 11:15 AM.
