FLORES, O'CONNOR SWEEP WEEKLY HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – Two members of the Indian Hills Cross Country program swept the weekly Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors. Freshman Lizeth Flores (Harvard, IL/Harvard) and sophomore Nick O'Connor (Tiffin, IA/Clear Creek Amana) were recognized for their efforts.

Flores led the No. 17 Warrior women to a first-place finish at the Trent Smith Invitational with a personal best time of 21:37.26 in the 5k event. Flores averaged a 6:57 min./mile pace to finish fourth overall at the meet.

On the men's side, O'Connor earned the weekly honor for the second time this season after leading the 10th-ranked Warriors to the team title at the Trent Smith Invitational. O'Connor finished second overall in the 8k meet with a time of 27:12.46. O'Connor was one of four Warriors to place inside the top-six.

Flores, O'Connor, and the Warriors wrap up the regular season this week with its home meet – the Indian Hills Invitational at Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa. The women's meet begins at 4:00 PM followed by the men at 4:45 PM.
