The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has named Peyton Moffet as February’s Student-Athlete of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.
Moffet, a freshman from Des Moines, Iowa, has started her first season as Warrior off with a bang. Moffet is currently batting a .382 through 12 games. She has also recorded 5 RBI’s, scored 5 runs, and hit a home run. Coach Diehl said, “Peyton Moffet has made a statement to start her freshman season. She worked really hard all winter on making adjustments with her swing and is taking those improvements to the batters box. She has quickly worked her way up from 7th in the line up to our lead off hitter which has made a major impact to the top of our line up. Peyton is also a major contributor for us on defense either behind the plate or on the field.”
