Marchetti starred behind the plate for the Warriors in a standout sophomore campaign. Since the award's inception in 2017, Marchetti becomes the fourth different Indian Hills catcher to earn the honor, joining Diego Aragon (2022), Dave Janssen (2021), and Zac Fascia (2017, 2018).

Marchetti proved to be one of the most dominant backstops in the nation this year as the sophomore ranked fourth in the NJCAA with 19 runners thrown out. Marchetti's .996 fielding percentage ranked second among qualifying catchers in the nation this year after committing just one error in 261 total chances. Marchetti's 39 stolen bases allowed were also second-fewest in the nation this year among catcher's with at least 50 attempts on the year.

Marchetti provided an offensive spark for the Warriors as well at the plate, boasting a .347 batting average to go along with five home runs and 33 RBI on the year, the only player in the nation with at least 18 runners caught stealing, five home runs, and a .345 average in the NJCAA.

The Warriors reached the NJCAA Region 11 Championship series and finished the 2025 campaign with a 27-25 record.
