Four IHCC Golfers Compete in Arkansas

Henault

Little Rock, Arkansas -- Indian Hills sent four golfers to this week's Little Rock Invitational and two of them finished in the top 20 in a meet that was dominated by four-year schools.  In fact, IHCC was the only two-year school to participate and didn't factor in the team scores, although their total of 895 would have been 9th-best in the event.

Warrior freshman Cyril Henault had a solid three rounds, shooting 72, 73 and 73 over the par-72 Chenal Country Club course.  Henault's 218 total earned him a tie for 11th place.  Harry Doig carded a 221 and wound up tied for 20th with scores of 72, 74 and 75.

Jesse MacNaughtan recovered after an opening-round 81 to shoot back-to-back 73s and finish in a tie for 50th.  Harry Fearn rounded out the IHCC scores with his 229, good for a tie for 57th.

Indian Hills alum Joe Hodgson, now at Illinois State University, shot consecutive two-under par 70s the final two rounds and ended up in a tie for 3rd at 213.  Maxime Leclerc, who was Hodgson's teammate at IHCC, is playing for Stephen F. Austin and finished with a 226 for a tie for 46th.

The Warriors will end their fall schedule with a trip to Odessa, Texas Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 for the NJCAA National Preview.  Indian Hills has finished in the top three the last five times they've played in the event.  They won the Preview once and tied for the title another time.
