Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's) of the No. 2 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Golf team has been tapped as the October 2023 SwingU College Player of the Month, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of American on Monday.

Glaudas, the No. 1 ranked player in the nation in the latest Spikemark National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf national rankings, lands his second-career SwingU College Player of the Month award after collecting the honor as a freshman last year during the month of April. The SwingU College Player of the Month honor comes on the heels of Glaudas collecting four Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golfer of the Week honors throughout October.

Glaudas proved to be the top golfer in the nation with a stellar month of October for the Warriors. The sophomore opened up the month at the Big O Classic in Elkhorn, NE with a first-place finish among primarily NCAA Division I programs. Glaudas fired a 6-under 216, including bookend rounds of 68 as the Warriors tied for third overall.

Glaudas followed up a week later with a fourth-place showing at the Throw Down 'Up Top' tournament in Homer, NE. Glaudas fired a third-round 66 to climb the leaderboard on the final day and earn his third consecutive top-five finish.

In the final event of the fall season, Glaudas took eighth overall at the NJCAA National Preview in Hobbs, NM. Glaudas fired a 1-under 213 behind first and third round scores of 69 at the Rockwind Community Golf Course, home to the 2024 NJCAA DI Men's Golf National Championship.

In three events throughout October, Glaudas averaged a round score of 70.5, including a mark of 67.6 in the third round alone.

The Warriors return to action in March with five events to tune up for the NJCAA DI Men's Golf National Championship May 14-17.
