GLAUDAS NAMED SWINGU GOLFER OF THE FALL

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's) of the Indian Hills Men's Golf team has added another prestigious honor to his resume following a strong fall season. Glaudas has been named the 2023 SwingU National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Player of the Fall, announced by SwingU and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.

Glaudas, who was named the October SwingU College Player of the Month, was tapped as the top junior college golfer for the fall portion of the Warriors' schedule. The sophomore, currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in the Clippd NJCAA DI National Rankings, was one of six individual golfers across six divisions of collegiate golf recognized on Tuesday.

Along with the Player of the Fall honor, Glaudas has captured two SwingU Golfer of the Month honors to go along with four Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golf Player of the Week honors throughout the fall semester after earning NJCAA First-Team All-American honors as a freshman during the 2023 spring season.

Glaudas' fall season saw the sophomore close out the campaign with four consecutive top-10 finishes, including top honors at the Big O Classic in Elkhorn, NE. Glaudas also placed fourth overall at the Throw Down 'Up Top' Tournament in Homer, NE and tied for fifth overall at the Zach Johnson Invitational in Des Moines, IA. Glaudas closed out the fall with an eighth-place showing at the NJCAA National Preview in Hobbs, NM.

Glaudas posted six total rounds in the 60's, including a personal-best round of 64 to open the Zach Johnson Invitational. Glaudas averaged a third-round score of 68.7 through the team's final four events of the fall.

The sophomore helped lead the Warriors to a No. 2 national ranking in the final NJCAA poll of the fall season, finishing just 0.21 points behind first-place Midland College (TX). Glaudas holds a sizable lead in the individual rankings, leading the second-place individual by 23.49 points.

The Warriors return to action in the spring semester with the Lindenwood Invitational March 11-12 in St. Charles, MO.
