WARRIORS NO. 2, GLAUDAS TOP-RANKED GOLFER

SCOREBOARD NJCAA DI RANKINGS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf team opened up the new year ranked No. 2 in the latest Scoreboard National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I rankings, powered by Clippd.

The latest Scoreboard rankings placed the Warriors second in the national poll with 21.34 average weighted points (AWP), slightly behind No. 1 ranked Odessa College (TX) with 21.50 AWP. The Warriors' mark is based on the team's five fall events that featured five top-10 team finishes and three top-five performances.

Along with the team's No. 2 national ranking, seven Warriors appeared in the individual national rankings, including four in the top-44 in the nation, led by No. 1 nationally ranked sophomore Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, France/Shattuck St-Mary's). As a team, the Warriors own six of the top-seven individuals among NJCAA Region 11 competitors.

Glaudas maintained his No. 1 national ranking after earning the top spot in the previous individual rankings announced in November. Glaudas collected a bevy of individual awards throughout the fall semester after leading the Warriors to a dominant campaign. Glaudas earned 67.58 AWP in the latest poll, 33.19 points ahead of the next individual.

Glaudas was joined by No. 11 nationally ranked and defending NJCAA medalist Jose Miguel Ramirez (Maturin, Venezuela/Alejandro De Humboldt) in the top-15 of this week's poll. Matias Koropeski (Posadas, Argentina/Instituto Posadas Educa) checked in at No. 32, climbing one spot from his previous spot. Shinju Aoki (Auckland, New Zealand/Rosmini College) earned the No. 36 rank followed by No. 40 Emilio Arellano Lamas (Aguascalientes, Mexico/Instituto Universitario Mexico) and No. 44 Jose Carletta (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Rioclaro).

Under head coach Michael Wetrich, the defending national champions are set to make a run to the team's eighth NJCAA title this spring with the second half of the season teeing off on March 11 at the Lindenwood Invitational in St. Charles, MO. The spring campaign features four events before the NJCAA Central District Championship April 29-30 and the NJCAA National Championshi May 14-17 in Hobbs, NM.
