FALL NAMED ICCAC PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Abdoulaye Fall (Dakar, Senegal/Cloud County) of the No. 3 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Basketball team has been named the 2024-25 Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Player of the Year, announced by the conference office Monday morning.

Fall becomes the eighth consecutive member of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball program to receive ICCAC Player of the Year honors. The sophomore joined the Warriors for the 2024-25 campaign and has helped lead the program to the upcoming NJCAA National Championship as the No. 3 overall seed in Hutchinson, KS. Along with his conference Player of the Year honor, Fall was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball All-Region 11 First-Team.

"Abdoulaye was the first player on campus this summer and one of the first young men that we signed when I got the job last year," stated head coach Cole Dewey. "Abdoulaye displays on a day-to-day basis what a college student-athlete looks like. He's a straight-A student, he always has a smile on his face when he walks in a room, he tries his absolute best every day, and does so with humility and integrity. He's very deserving of his ICCAC Player of the Year honor and will continue to make Warrior Nation proud throughout his career, both on and off the floor."

Fall appeared in 29 games on the year, making 27 starts for the 27-5 Warriors. The combo guard led the team with 10.8 points per game on the year while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor, 36.4 percent from three-point range, and 74.8 percent from the free throw line. Fall filled the stat sheet throughout the year, adding 4.1 rebounds per game to go along with 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals.

A two-time ICCAC Athlete of the Week, Fall reached double-figures 12 times on the year, including four games with at least 20 points. Fall tallied a season-high 27 points in a win over Lake Region State College (ND) on December 15. In four ICCAC contests this year, Fall averaged 15.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor.

In addition to his freshman season at Cloud County Community College (KS), Fall has totaled 660 career points at the collegiate level along with 215 career rebounds.

Along with Fall's honors, seven additional members of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball squad have been named to the NJCAA All-Region 11 teams.
