MILLIKIN JOINS EXCLUSIVE GROUP WITH 1ST TEAM HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Brady Millikin's (Hedrick, IA/Pekin) dominant season has led to a pair of prestigious postseason honors for the Indian Hills Men's Cross Country school record holder. Millikin has been named to both the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Cross Country First-Team All-Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Cross Country First-Team All-Region XI.

Millikin produced one of the top finishes in program history at the NJCAA Region XI meet on Sunday to garner the postseason accolades. Millikin placed fourth overall at the meet in Fort Dodge, IA to become the first Warrior to place in the top-five at the region meet since Marcus Graham in 2018. Graham, Millikin, and Michael Demeyer (2018) are the only runners in school history to earn first-team honors in either the ICCAC or the All-Region team.

At the Lakeside Golf Course on Sunday, Millikin posted a blistering time of 25:51.76 to finish as the first non-Iowa Central Community College runner to cross the finish line as the Tritons swept the top three spots and the team title. Millikin averaged a 5:13 mile throughout the course to earn four team points and lead the Warriors to a third-place team finish.

During his sophomore campaign, Millikin has been named the NJCAA Athlete of the Week, a two-time recipient of the ICCAC Athlete of the Week, the Indian Hills Male Student-Athlete of the Month, and set a school record in the men's 6k event.

Next up for the Millkin is the NJCAA National Championship at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, FL on Saturday, November 12.
