Three School Marks Fall for IHCC Women

Council Bluffs, Iowa -- Three Indian Hills women's track team members broke school records and had one national qualifying time in the Region Xi meet at the Reiver Sports Complex.

Both Peyton Coffin and Amanda Wakelin established new school records and Aryka Parsons also set a new IHCC mark, while qualifying for the NJCAA national meet in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Coffin ran 26.61 and Wakelin 26.92 in the 200 meters, each eclipsing the previous school record. They finished 7th and 8th, respectively, in the event. Wakelin was 5th and Coffin 6th in the 400 meters.

Parsons's time was 12:18.15 in the steeplechase where she came in 3rd.

Kaysha Dodson' height of 5'5" in the high jump was good for 3rd place.

Indian Hills was 3rd in the 4x400 relay with a quartet of Coffin, Kelsey Maize, Parsons and Wakelin.
