TSHOSA NAMED NATIONAL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Oarabile Tshosa (Bentonville, AR/Good Hope) made headlines on Saturday for the Indian Hills Women's Track & Field team at the Washburn Alumni Invitational. The sophomore's efforts land United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Athlete of the Week honors.

In her debut for the Warriors, Tshosa shattered two school records at the Washburn Invite in Topeka, KS, cementing her name atop the 60-meter and 200-meter dash events to lead the Warriors. Tshosa produced a blistering time of 7.41 in the 60m event, 0.11 seconds faster than the previous school record while posting a time of 24.26 in the 200m, 0.17 seconds ahead of the previous top mark.

After posting the fastest prelim time in the 60m dash on Saturday, Tshosa cruised to a first-place finish in the finals with the school record mark, 0.15 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Tshosa's time in the 60m also set a new meet record.

In the 200m, Tshosa was one of two individuals to break the previous meet record after placing second overall with a time of 24.26, 0.64 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher.

Next up for the Warriors is the Iowa State Holiday Invitational in Ames, IA December 8-9.
