Topeka, KS – Sophomore All-American Dymonde Nave (Sioux Falls, SD/Sioux Falls Lincoln) broke her own school record in a dominant performance at the Washburn Open for the Indian Hills Women's Indoor Track & Field school.
The Warriors sent a number of individuals to Washburn University for the two-day event comprised of multiple four-year and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) programs.
Nave starred for the Warriors once again, breaking her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles to take a first-place finish in a field of more than 40 participants. Nave posted a time of 8.43 after a prelim time of 8.51, breaking her previous school record time of 8.49. The sophomore has now recorded three first-place finishes in the event this season.
Nave also posted a 14th-place finish in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.38m, just 0.02m short of her personal best mark.
Nave currently owns the top 60mH mark in the nation this year and has posted five of the top nine marks among all NJCAA competitors this season.
Koonce was joined by teammate Tiffani Koonce (Prairie City, IA/Prairie City-Monroe) who posted another breakthrough performance for the Warriors.
