NJCAA DI MEN'S GOLF CLIPPD NATIONAL RANKINGS
Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf squad closed out its fall campaign by jumping to No. 4 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf Scoreboard Powered by Clippd rankings. The Warriors placed six individuals in the top-60 of national ratings.
The Warriors jumped back into the top-five with 80.21 average weighted points after tying for sixth-place overall at the NJCAA National Preview October 24-25 in Newton, KS. Indian Hills, ranked No. 6 in last week's poll, capped its fall campaign with five top-10 team finishes in five events.
Emilio Arellano Lamas (Aguascalientes, Mexico/Instituto Universitario Mexico), the lone sophomore on this year's group, secured his highest individual national ranking of his Indian Hills career, checking in at No. 7 in this week's ratings. Arellano Lamas, a three-time Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golf Athlete of the Week this year, tied for eight overall at the NJCAA National Preview last week.
Freshman Roman Roth (Wayland, IA/Washington) came into the latest national rankings at No. 29 in the nation followed by fellow freshman Jedd Thomas (Sydney, Australia/St. Paul's Catholic) at No. 31.
Three freshman rounded out the top-six for the Warriors as Daniel Freeman (Auckland, New Zealand/Auckland Grammar), Facundo Moraga (Santiago, Chil), and Carl Knauer (Stenungsund, Sweden/Nosnas) checked in at No. 54, No. 57, and No. 59, respectively.
Indian Hills will return to action for the spring season as the Warriors gear up for another postseason run.
