While the Indian Hills Men's Soccer team is off to a historic start to the 2024 season, holding the No. 1 spot atop the national polls with an unbeaten record, more than 20 former Warriors are finding success at the next level.
Take a look where former Warrior men's soccer standouts are lacing up this year on the pitch.
Pablo Marques (2021) | University of Tampa
The 2022 NJCAA Lea Plarski Award winner, Marques left his mark on the Warrior program during his lone season at Indian Hills in 2021 as the team captain. Following his time at Indian Hills, Marques transferred to Tampa University where he is currently in his third season with the Spartans. Over the past two years, Marques has started 17 of 20 contests, scoring four goals along the way.
Harvey Sellers (2023) | Louisville University
An NJCAA All-American between the pipes in his lone season at Indian Hills in 2023, Sellers helped guide the Warriors to just its second national tournament appearance in school history. Sellers transferred to ACC member Louisville and starred for the Cardinals early on in the season, starting the team's first seven contests of the year while securing four victories and a pair of shutouts. Sellers, who suffered an injury in his last outing on September 20, owns a team-best 1.15 goals against average on the year.
Jack Donlan (2022-23) | Elon University
A two-year member of the Indian Hills Men's Soccer squad, including a team captain as a sophomore, Donlan anchored the Warrior defense to the 2023 NJCAA National Tournament. In his first season at Elon University, Donlan has appeared in all 12 contests, making nine starts as the Phoenix opened the year with an eight-match unbeaten streak and have climbed as high as No. 14 in the NCAA DI national rankings.
Luka Heins (2022-23) | University of Northwestern Ohio
A two-year member of the Warriors, including a key member of last year's national tournament run, Heins has started 11 contests for the RAcers this year while tallying a goal and an assist. Northwestern Ohio is 4-1-1 in the team's last six outings.
Kaz Kromwijk (2022-23) | Bethel College
Kromwijk, who won nine contests in net for the Warriors during his tenure at Indian Hills, has made an immediate impact at Bethel, starting all 11 contests this year. The junior has stopped 50 shots while owning a .625 save percentage on the year.
Kevin Mejias (2022) | Bradley University
Mejias, a prominent goal scorer for the Warriors during an NJCAA All-Region 11 season in 2022, Mejias is back on the pitch for Bradley in 2024 after a season-ending injury a year ago. Mejias has started 10 of the team's 11 contests this year, tallying a pair of goals.
Diego Palma (2022) | Indiana Wesleyn University
An NJCAA All-Region 11 selection for the Warriors during his freshman campaign, Palma has been instrumental in the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats' success. Palma has started 27 of 29 games over the past two seasons as the Wildcats have won 24 contests, including an 11-1 mark this year and are currently ranked No. 5 in the NAIA national polls.
Alex Rodriguez (2023) | Clayton State University
A member of the 2023 run to the NJCAA National Tournament for the Warriors, Rodriguez has helped the NCAA DII Lakers jump out to a 5-2-2 start in 2024. Rodriguez has started eight of the team's nine matches, scoring three goals to go along with three assists on the year.
Matteo Scarduzio (2021-22) | Faulker University
Following a standout two-year career at Indian Hills as the Warriors' primary goalkeeper, Scarduzio has been a mainstay in net for Faulkner over the past two years. Scarduzio has started 18 of the team's 19 contests while posting a 10-2-3 overall record. Scarduzio owns a 1.44 goals against average over the last two seasons, including a 0.80 mark last year.
