Wichita, KS – The Indian Hills Men's Soccer team saw its historic season come to a close on Thursday as the seventh-seeded Warriors fell in penalty kicks to top-seeded Iowa Western Community College. Indian Hills caps its season with a remarkable 16-2-3 overall record on the year.
Competing in the program's first-ever National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer National Championship semifinal round, the Warriors put home a late goal with under two minutes to play in regulation to force overtime. A pair of scoreless extra sessions resulted in penalty kicks where the Reivers ultimately outlasted the Warriors, 5-3.
The Warriors' third all-time appearance at the national tournament did not disappoint as Indian Hills advanced out of the group stage for the first time in program history by winning each of its Pool B matchups. Taking on Iowa Western for the fourth time this season, the Warriors finished the season with its second-most wins and second-highest winning percentage in school history, on top of numerous team and individual records.
